The acquisition of Luminar Semiconductor, Inc. (LSI) represents a significant strategic step for QCi. LSI brings a deep portfolio of photonic technologies, established products, valuable intellectual property, and an experienced team of engineers and scientists. These capabilities are directly aligned with our roadmap and will accelerate our ability to scale integrated photonic and quantum solutions.

Freedom Photonics is a leader in design, development and manufacturing of unique and innovative photonics components, modules and subsystems, built from photonic chip-level up. Our advanced semiconductor laser and photonic integration platforms are enabling our products in optical sensing, quantum sensing, aerospace and defense, and optic communications applications.

EM4 is a world leader in high-performance rugged optical components, modules, and subassemblies, with a long heritage as a preferred supplier for leading aerospace and defense contractors around the globe. Our technological prowess and proficiency in rugged photonic module design and manufacturing are enabling us to serve aerospace and defense programs and missions, as well as optical communications and sensing markets.

Optogration designs and manufactures best-in-class photodetectors and detector-based components with extremely high sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and high damage threshold for mission-critical applications. This core technology enables us to provide differentiated detection solutions for optical remote sensing, optical communications, and aerospace and defense applications.

Founded in 2003, NuCrypt develops products at the interface of photonic, electronic, and quantum technologies. The company's primary focus is supplying photonic instrumentation to the research and development community to increase the productivity of end users. We sell the only complete line of quantum optical instrumentation that can generate, distribute, and measure entangled photons. These instruments will help to develop quantum photonic applications by either alleviating the burden of researchers who are experts in this field from having to piece together their own equipment or enabling newcomers to immediately begin productive work. In addition to quantum-oriented products, NuCrypt also makes specialty photonic and fiber-optic systems such as pulse generators and pulse pickers which are designed for ease of use and integration into complex systems.
With the LSI acquisition complete, QCi and the LSI team are joining forces, bringing together complementary expertise to advance our shared mission. By combining LSI's lasers, detectors, and manufacturing capabilities with QCi’s photonics platform, we now have end-to-end control of the system, enabling a faster path from innovation to scalable products. As one team, we are positioned to drive progress and deliver quantum-enabled components, subsystems and systems at scale.
